I can almost understand the vrock feather pricing. One of those is bound to have a LOT of feathers, so once someone has kileld one and grabbed its treasure, someone else is bound to pop up, pluck it clean, and sell the feathers.

It does imply that the slaughter-rate of chromatic dragons and vrocks are pretty darned high, though.
