Bah. Doesn't appear to be anything new (in the way of features) in 3.4.2.

Well, minor versions normally are bugfixes not feature releases. However, public postings on rgrn strongly suggest there's a feature release being worked on in parallel.

BTW, I notice two of your interests end in periods - "eighties." and "elite." - is this by design?

I remember my first ascension too. That would be the one after I hacked the source so that a) I couldn't die, b) I had an unlimited number of wishes and c) objects could be enchanted above +5. Five years of dying before level 9ish (I can remember getting as far as Medusa once or twice), usually through starvation, eliminated any expectations of fun that I might have had.

This doesn't mean that I won't still play if I have time to kill, however...

Oh, right - I got cheating out of my system playing Hack as a teenager, so I escaped that (but some objects can be enchanted above +5 anyway :-).

You can always pray for food when Weak or Fainting....

argghh.. evil man, I may have to download it and see if I can pass my quest level without cheating.

Play Valkyries - they can easily make it to the quest and their quest nemesis is a pushover.
