Do not leave LJ for several days then read it all in the wee hours of the morning. There may have to be a friends list trimming - if I take you off do not assume it is the result of this natural activity, but consider that I may mean it as a very personal insult.

Conjuration was very good; we managed to drink all the beer at the real ale bar, and I managed to snag the last pint of Minotaur, which is a mild from the very fine Milton brewery. In between drinking with gamers and buying GURPS stuff I managed to sneak out and go punting, and also to Kirsten's birthday party which fortunately extended into the wee hours of the morning - and was full of spods some of whom I haven't seen for some years. Chinese on Sunday rounded things off.

The journey back was an utter disaster thanks to Robbie Williams fans cluttering up the trains - on arrival in London I had to run down to Paddington and get a train out to Maidenhead, only to have a predictably complicated navigational exercise getting back from there.

I suppose I must unpack some time.

Beer festival tomorrow - the London one is always good except when we turn up half an hour before closing owing to poor forward planning.

Wednesday will be annoyed to hear I picked up a Brompton catalogue which I am lusting over.

I've finished GURPS Age of Napoleon - it's really very good.
