Help (van driving 1st October)

This has become moot.

I had been planning to move house on the 1st October. Today is the last day on which I could give notice on my existing flat and not pay for a needless overlap.

I had arranged for a friend of mine to drive a van. Over the last few weeks we have had an interaction like this;

"If you pick a definite date I'll be able to stop work sending me away."
"OK - 1st October."
"Work are sending me away" - this last _last night_.

Therefore if someone can _definitely_ be available on the 1st October I would be estatically happy. The journey's about 20 miles and would possibly be 2 tripsworth of a 3.5 tonner. I can arrange people to load and unload and will do as much van hire work as possible, and will buy big dinner for whoever does it.

Anyone?

1st October is a Sunday.

I can definitely do it should you want to, though be warned the only 3.5T van driving experience I will have had is from my own move this Tuesday (over 2 days I'm shifting 3 people up to London, including one from Poole and one from Basildon)! Naturally, someone with a little more experience might be a better choice, but the offer is there... and I'll try and keep that day free as a "just in case" if you like.

I'm also an over 25er, who passed his driving test 10 years ago, so I have category C1 entitlement (not that you need it for a 3.5T) - in principle this means I am licensed to drive up to a 7.5T, but I've never driven anything like that size of van before...

Thanks, but it's moot now.
