I just finished Dawkins's "The God Delusion" and am now very angry about everything.

Everyone should read it, even - especially - those currently deluded.

On the plus point I know what to get my mother for her birthday.

Pretty decent, yes, although probably a rather cut-and-diced precis of the then-soon-to-be-released book. Want me to bring it along on Thursday?

(In the "vaguely related amusements" directory I also have Tony Robinson (of all people) about St. John the Divine and his magic mushrooms, and James Randi with (amongst other things) an inspired rant on homeopathy.)

Dawkins observes that homeopathy did well when first invented because doing nothing at all compared well to much contemporary medical practice.
