damerell at 02:23pm on 02/12/2008Some time ago I posted about Fiberfix emergency spokes. Everyone asked me if they worked, which was an odd question since at the time I had never seen one.
Last weekend I found a broken spoke on the tandem (front wheel, unusually). I was able to install one of these and retrue the wheel without too much trouble, albeit that it's a 36-cross-3 not some silly fru-fru 20-spoke job, and rode a few miles and back without it exploding.
I've still got a few spare if anyone wants one.
