The good news is, I want food for the first time for two days. I am probably less ill.

The bad news is, what kind of person designs oven gloves on the assumption that you will never wish to push something into the oven with the back of your hand? I'm torn between incompetence and malice here.

Ouch! auntsarentgents, can I get you some oven gloves that actually keep fire out?

*boggle* My IKEA oven gloves follow the standard "quilted mitten" pattern. And cost, um, not very much.

There is nothing wrong with my oven gloves.

Who on earth pushes things in the oven with the back of their hand without LOOKING AT WHAT THEY ARE DOING! ;-)

I was looking, but the difference between heatproof fabric and ordinary fabric is only visible in the infrared.
