I don't think we've done this one before on DW/LJ. Incidentally, LJ comment notifications are broken (again), they've got into the SBL (again, and the answer to the question is "an anti-spam blacklist") and I have a pile of DW invite codes going spare if anyone wants to come over to the functioning side.
The idea of this game is to come up with a description for a book, TV show, videogame etc which is both accurate - as in, it must be both technically true and not focus on some absurdly small aspect of the work or secondary character - and wildly misleading. I'll collate and repost any good answers in comments. Say what kind of work it is in case I've never heard of it. To get started:
Bubblegum Crisis (anime show): "The secret adventures of a Tokyo lingerie saleswoman."
Doom (videogame): "In the future, new immigrants to the Mars colony face unique challenges."
Super Mario World: "A plumber with a dodgy moustache turns up to help out a blonde. You won't be surprised to learn that he does no actual plumbing."
