Short stories...
You know the maddening thing where you read an SF short story twenty years ago, but you can't remember who it was by, or the title, or anything like that?
Today I'm at my parents' house and browsing the shelves, and it turns out one of the stories I can't remember is Kornbluth, "Shark Ship", a rather nastily horrible future.

I have it somewhere in a collection based around Zero Population Growth, which was apparently a movement sometime during the 70's... It's full of lots of lovely uplifting stories like that one, and Pamela Zoline's "Heat Death of the Universe," which is indescribably good.
Here it is on a freaky Russian web site if you haven't read it: http://readr.ru/pamela-zoline-the-heat-death-of-the-universe.html
