We've got 7 PCC candidates in Cambridge; 2 independents, the big three political parties, UKIP, and "English Democrats".

So I went to read their statements, and gosh, what a lot of warm fuzzy waffle. The only two who seem to have any clearly discernable positions are the two lunatic/evil candidates, which doesn't help because their positions are variously lunatic and/or evil.

And, of course, the voting system is little better than FPTP, which raises the spectre of tactical voting. Should I expect, this being Cambridgeshire, the Tory is likely to win, and go for whichever of the Lab/LD candidates I think is most likely to beat them? Worse yet, given the projected microscopic turnout, might one of the green-inkers win - should I even be voting for the stinking Tory to keep them out?

What I'd really like to know, given how crime affects me most, is which of the candidates rides a bike and/or doesn't drive a car. No finding that out.
