This one's a little more interesting than all those "What is your Barrayaran Vor name?" quizzes (oh, look, it's Vordamerell, who'da thunk it?), so; pick one of my interests you want to know about, and ask about it.

Tell me about childfree, please. What does it mean to you? Do you dislike being around children, or do you not want to live with or near them, or do you just not want to breed? When did you first realise you felt like this? Did you figure it out by yourself or did you hear about the concept before you formed your own ideas, and incorporate it into your philosophy later?

I dislike being around children when they are noisy (and I have quite a low threshold for "noisy", of children, and I don't believe any child is consistently not-noisy); I certainly don't want to be responsible for anyone's wellbeing except my own, except to a degree with adults who can provide mutual support - especially in the way that a child does, with little or no opportunity to take time off; I don't want my spare time and money, which are stretched quite thin by my existing interests, further consumed; and while I still find babies quite cute, I don't have that reaction to older children, and I find most teen and young adult behaviour very unpleasant.

I already felt like this at 22 or so when I was dating LNR - which was when it became an issue that actually needed consideration; I suspect from around age 17. I certainly knew before I knew there was a word for it, in spite of the usual childhood stuff that assumes everyone will have a het marriage and kids.

OK, why are you interested in crates?

(Most of your other interests I share to some extent, or know more than enough about already!)

It's a joke about first-person shooters, which nearly always have crates in - even the ones in fantasy environments, the far future, etc.

Doom's E2M2 _Containment Area_ is a big room full of crates, which probably started the whole thing going. The injoke was responsible for "Cratematch" for one fo the Quakes, where all the players look like crates and fight in a big room full of crates.

OK then, why "gilbert and sullivan"? You don't strike me as the G&S type...

(or is this some other value of gilbert and sullivan?)

No, it's perfectly ordinary G&S. I didn't see much in Cambridge, but I've always enjoyed it; my father sang various tenor parts in amateur productions, and would sing to me at bedtime.

Is 'Bad Taste' a reference to the film or a general lifestyle choice ;-)?

Yes. But I think I had the film in mind at the time. :-)

Boku no sucky sucky ???

Hm, I should have realised someone would pick that. It's rude, but you probably guessed that from the name.

Boku No Sexual Harassment is one of the better-known pieces of yaoi (Japanese smut that depicts impossibly idealised gay men, for the benefit of and often drawn or directed by straight women) anime. Some tasteless reprobates (Wednesday and me) did a parody fansub of it; same video footage, same audio [1], allegedly humorous subtitles.

It's played at a few British anime cons now to - modesty aside - gales of laughter.

[1] Well, there's a few video/audio gags, but by and large the original.

Did you make it all the way to Elite, Commander?

Never... Deadly, yeah, but after that you've done both the missions on the Beeb version, and there's just more kills to rack up.
