I am really really terrible at getting stuff for people's birthdays. I never know what to get them and most of my friends, like me, are generally well-off geeks and if they want something they just go out and buy it. Plus I'm lazy and absent minded, which are a bad combination.

So... don't feel the need to get anything for me. Sure, if it's really compelling and I'd never have thought of it myself, that's another matter, but don't do it as a matter of course.
