I've always said that I would rather have my eyes plucked out by a rabid crow than ever embark upon a long distance relationship, but in the last week I have been seriously considering one. Despite the long distance involved being, in fact, international.

Ah, just to be clear, after six months or so we converted it to a short distance relationship.

A friend of mine has got the best setup here; he got into one, but his job permits him to accept a 2-year posting in California...
