Re the Savlon - have you tried vaseline? I've found it very effective on long distance runs. I wonder if Savlon first, and vaseline over it, might be quite a good plan?

Re the foot and knee - what kind of massaging and stretching do you regularly do to your leg muscles? [ I have a bunch of theories about the ways that knotted muscles play havoc with the relevant joints ... ]

Vaseline - no. There's a pot in the bathroom, mind, so I might give it a go.

I do no massaging, stretching, etc. Naughty me.
