I ordered the wrong thing from SJSC, and now have a few 4.8V 2.4W 0.5A push-fit headlight bulbs, which presumably work fine in 4xAA headlights with rechargeables but aren't what I need. Anyone (would post) got a light that takes them?

ETA: These Buff-clones have gone, this paragraph is irrelevant. I've also got three (because they come in threes) Buff-clones - this is a seamless tube of stretchy material intended to be worn over the head and neck in a variety of ways and stop your face freezing in cold weather. Anyone want the other two (they are grey and grey camo, I am of course keeping the black one).

What colour are the buffs?

Edited.

I'd gladly relieve you of one of your Buff-clones since it sounds a useful thing to take skiing with me. How much do you want for one?

I don't, the lot of three were cheap and I couldn't buy them in ones anyway. Tell me your address (possibly not on an open LJ entry :-) and I'll post you one. Grey or camo?

Grey please :) Will communicate address with you in some convenient way.

Aren't they what in the 80s would have been called a snood?

Wikipedia suggests not - a snood's got a tight band to hold it on, and you can't shove it all the way down and use it as a scarf.

Hrm, interestingly Wiki is not talking about what I was talking about. I wonder what I'm talking about then.

Basically it was a tube of fabric that you could stick your head through and cover bits of your face or head with.

Ah. Well, it's one of those, yes.

I'm with you on this one.

Maybe it was the 80s stealing inappropriate names for things :) I swear I had a bright yellow one.

Bizarrely if you google image search for them you get women wearing the wiki type, dogs wearing the 80s type, and a brightly coloured computer game.

Oh noes! We were all wearing dog clothing without realising.

I'm going to avoid the obvious comment here. Because I wouldn't even think it, would I?

As a gentleman I'm sure you couldn't even be possibly thinking of it.

If there is a spare head/neck-covering not-a-snood, I would like one please. Ta much.

You get grey camo, then. I'll bring it to London and leave it with SES.

Thank you! :-) That will be much appreciated when I'm on a windswept roof.

I see you've got rid of your spares, but if they do in fact solve the face-freezing problem I'd be interested to know and might buy one/some myself...
