If any more of my face peels off, I'm not going to need scar makeup to look like Captain Harlock.

*ouch* *sympathy* *winces*

Is horrible. My only experience of sunburn was four years ago, in Bosnia, when I got so badly frazzled that a layer of skin on my scalp literally cracked into several large pieces, each of which then tried to work its way down my hair.

God, I was beating the men off with a shitty stick, I can tell you.

Right, if you're going to tell gross stories; I blistered across all my forehead and freshly shaved head, and that entire area started to leak pus yesterday and has only just stopped.

Curiously I also have not become devastatingly attractive as a result.

You also look nothing like Harlock.

It could be worse, though. You could look like Phil Collins.

Are you sure it was pus and not serum?

I have no clear concept of the difference. This was a transparent yellowish liquid without a strong smell, but with a strong unpleasant taste, produced in considerable quantities - enough to soak a pillowcase.

Anti tells me this is in fact serum, having made me aware of the difference. LJ can be so educational.

Huh. Usually don't people just use their hands?
