TBH, I still have massive sympathy for their very early days. "Aradia" is one of my favourite tracks ever. And I like their obvious Marillion fandom. But I think they probably stopped while it was still fun, which was a good thing to do. I saw them live a fair few times, but never enough.
So do I! I still listen to "Veil of Tears" and "In Amber". I can think of other bands who've run as long who've never done a duff album - but they're a small minority.

I just wish there were slightly more of us left who'd sooner fellate a chainsaw than vote Tory. Christ, how fast do people forget?
