Many of you have already seen it in real life, but for those who haven't, [personal profile] ceb and I made a rather unusual Christmas cake this year, and there are pictures of it here. It is worksafe, highly educational, and completely historically accurate (ish).

What is less obvious is that Napoleon has hobbit legs in order to make him short, which is about as historically accurate as the rest of it. :-)

Also, the marzipan round the edge forms the horizontal white, blue, and red stripes of the then Russian flag.

I seem to be necroing comments today, so; a French friend of mine says in fact the hobbit legs are historically correct; while Napoleon was of average height, his Imperial Guard only recruited tall men, so he should be the shortest person on the cake.
